I have one hour and fifty six minutes until this perfect October day is over.
Intimate, over-sharing confessions time...
-Pathetically for about 7 years I have had this date saved in my account with TheKnot.com as my wedding date.
-In 2008, I made it public knowledge that 2010 was going to be "MY YEAR!"
-I may or may not have tried to get four different people to fly to Vegas with me tonight... (lie)
Last confession on the topic.... I am actually perfectly happy with the way my life is right this moment. Truly. I love everything about where I am at and where I am going. It is one lovely feeling. I see nothing wrong with being an independent, single 26 year old with the world at her fingertips. LIFE IS GOOD!
(If I get married by the time I am 30, I will be totally happy. Perhaps 2012 can be my new year?)

"Here"
If you look up the word "here" on dictionary.com you will find that this word is an adverb, a noun, an adjective, an interjection, and an Idiom.
In my life "here" is now relative (existing or having its specific nature only by relation to something else; not absolute or independent).
I am now a flight attendant. In one day "here" can be any number of places. Today, on my first day, "here" was Orange County, San Francisco, and I am now sitting in a hotel in Austin. Tomorrow "here" will be Austin, San Fran, and Calgary, Canada.
Not only is it amazing that it is possible for me to be in that many places in one 24 hour time period, but how about the fact that it is possible to for a large grouping of humans to fly through the air while sitting in chairs drinking beverages?!
Freak! I LOVE MY LIFE!!!

Frivolous Spending
This may be news to all of you, but did you know that frivolously spending money can be LOADS of fun?
I have completely forgotten what it feels like to even have money to spend. I did a little math today (scary, right?) and I am pretty sure that my income for the last 2 1/2 years totals around $18,840. Yes, folks, that is the complete sum. Equaling an average of a whopping $628 per month. It might be time to grow up and get a real job with a real paycheck, huh? :)
ANYWAY.... Thanks to my recent birthday (and my momma), I had a little bit of spending money. I went directly to the nearest Sephora and bought myself some perfume and mascara.
The money spent: $85.91.
The awesome feeling of having something fun, new, and unnecessary: PRICELESS.

Lacey Elaine Johnson
Lacey Elaine Johnson was born to Todd and Katie Johnson in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 29, 1985. She had a blissful childhood in Murray with her four sisters and one red headed friend. She survived the wretched experience of being confused by a boy because of a haircut and perm combo gone wrong. Lacey was Student Body President at Riverview Junior High School (brag-able) and she graduated, not top of the class, but with some AP credits, from Murray High School in 2004.
Sadly, Ms. Johnson grew up too quickly. Securing an "adult job" (one with benefits and a 40 hour work week) with USBA and attended the University of Utah part time. Lucky for her she got a second chance at a young life in the spring of 2010 when she moved down to San Diego with her phenomenal older and wiser sister Jessica. They had the time of their lives together. Lacey let her incredibly long and shiny hair down almost three times! Oh what a summer it was. Please come back, Lacey. We love and miss you.

Ode to Disneyland
We have dedicated every Tuesday since Lacey moved down here to exploring, experiencing, and loving all that is Disneyland.
"Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy."
-Walt, himself
-Walt, himself
As we just experienced our last 'DL Tuesday' together, I thought that a little tribute would be in order.
Ode To Disneyand
Our dearest Disneyland,
How we love you so.
With Annual Passes in hand,
Your harvest was ours to sow.
All of the rides we do so love to enjoy
The golden Mickey's we don't care to find
Our beloved Monte Cristo at the Blue Bayou
Someday we might like to be employed
Disneyland you blow our minds
And soon we shall come back to you.
(Wow, that was painful. Don't worry, I won't EVER do that again.)

Our Tripod
Here we go. Pay attention now.
Lacey and Jessica.
We are besties. We are sisters. We live together. We love each other.
Jessica and Quinton.
We are dating. We like each other. We kiss.
Quinton and Lacey.
They are the two people that I spend most of my time with and more often than not those times run into each other. They do NOT kiss. At least to my knowledge. ;)
So... some quick math for those of you that are lost.
Lacey + Jessica + Quinton = Our Tripod

These are things that we do together.
Ghetto rigging a car jack aka 'the curb'.
Q in front of Q Restaurant and Sports Bar.
So fitting.
Matchy, matchy.
Lacey loves sunsets on the beach.
Mission Beach
Sisters.
The Pinnacle of our Tripod.
While at Belmont Park on Mission Beach we stumbled upon a store named Henna Heaven. it seemed like a sign from the henna heavens above that we needed this in our lives. So naturally we entered and immediately devised the following plan.
Person A picked the tackiest tattoo they could find and Person B picked the tackiest location all for a willing and ready Person C.
The results....
Jessica picked a flatulent monkey and Quinton chose to have it placed on Lacey's back.
Quinton picked a ring of moons and stars and Lacey chose Jessica's bellybutton.
Lacey picked "Jessica" and Jessica chose Quinton's left pectoral.
The cute little tattoo artist from Ireland thought we were hilarious, and let's be honest here, we were.
Now we only have to live with these for the next two to three weeks. Hah!

Staying in SoCal
Btw... I will be moving in with the family that I nanny for. Lacey will be moving home after the 18th sometime. I might decide to kill myself, but doing my best to maintain a positive attitude. The lack of proper California sunshine is NOT helping the situation.

Pageant of The Masters
Words are utterly failing me as I am trying to figure out how to describe this experience. Here are some links to read about it and also to enjoy some images from this. Essentially they take historical works of art, make them life size, and place real people in costume into these art pieces and you can't even tell. Their likeness is astounding. I would recommend this experience to anyone. It will absolutely bottle your mind.

Life number 9
After dismantling and then reassembling days later, my faithful Canon has come back to me!
This camera has been with me through 16 countries, been dropped by x-amount of randoms that were willing to snap my picture, and has taken roughly 35,000 pictures that act as my "photo journal".
It is though they were able to reattach my severed right hand. Oh God bless "tik-nology"!

INDEPENDENCE WEEKEND!
For our second to last weekend as "adults" living in San Diego we had some phenomenal house guests. Two couples. Adam & Heidi Killpack as well as Kevin Coombs and Chadwick Densley. Ok, that last two aren't a couple, but they do love each other. In a non-gay way. I think.
Adam made us Green Smoothies each morning with their VitaMix that they carted down from Utah because "it is so much more than a blender".
Moonlight Beach
These are the treasures that Adam & Kevin found in the ocean.
**************************
That damned ocean then proceeded to claim our electronics with a rouge wave.
R.I.P. dear Canon.
R.I.P. Lacey's Blackberry

Homeless.
Chaos!! So... I just received an email from my current landlord. MARVELOUS news for them. Her husband that has been in Afghanistan is being sent home early!!! "Early" means that he will be home in TWO WEEKS! HORRENDOUS news for Lacey and I.... We are homeless in SD. All that is left to do is roll with the punches. We shall see what fate has in store for us. Turns out we might just be back in Salt Lake in two weeks. So start planning us a homecoming party! Maybe.

About A Boy....
It is usually not worth going into any great detail about any of the boys that I date because, let's be honest here, that door revolves so often that I even forget which one is which; but I am going to go out on a very foreign limb here and say... "I just might like this one, a little."
I've known Quinton for about a month now, and it has been quite the little whirlwind. He is handsome, he is from Colorado, and he is 30. We met through a mutual friend, saw each other every day for a week, and the rest is photographic history...
